Coffee - True, but I can see a situation where we get to say March and all our eggs go into this basket, which is pretty much what happened this season in the EL. Losing to Soton in the FA Cup was an awful result, mind.

Swiss - Hard to disagree with that.
I think being in this is going to be a real saving grace for us as we move through the season. Crap in the league? Well at least we have the CL to look forward to. Man City away in the FA Cup? Well at least we have the CL. Think it will give us a bit of comfort if the season turns to shit.

We have little chance in the domestic cups and tbh we will struggle to get 7th next season.
In the EC we might only play 2-3 tough games and win it . Then we have EL next season.
No brainer we have to go for it.

With only 17 first team players in the oldest and smallest squad in the league I think it may be a blessing to go out early so we can concentrate on our relegation battle

Could well be our best chance of qualifying for the Europa League next season. I can't see us doing it through the league again unless we spend heavily this summer...which won't happen.

I'd like to win it since were taking part, but I don't think the tournament should even exist.
If they wanted a third competition then they should have reverted to a knockout tournament. Not another boring league format for mid table teams to compete against the Moldovan or Cypriot champions.
Once all the UEFA competitions expand further in 2024 letting more teams in e.g. 5 CL spots, you end up with the 10th or 11th placed team securing European football. Makes it all a bit meaningless for me.

Utterly useless tournament in my view. I'd rather we focused on doing better in the league to keep the decent players we have. Play the kids in it if we dont have a squad. We blew our chance at proper European competition. I wouldnt risk our players against some of the cloggers in this trying to make a name for themselves.
